PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENT Pursuant to the Noncoal Surface Mining Conservation and Reclamation Act and the Clean Streams Law, notice is hereby given that 422 Aggregates LLC, 3340 US 422, New Castle, PA 16101 has made application to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for a request to renew its existing NPDES Permit PA0258407, known as the Lacko Mine (Permit #37070301) located in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. The receiving streams for this permit are unnamed tributaries to Brush Run and unnamed tributaries to Slippery Rock Creek both cold water fisherys (CWF). The entrance to this permit is located approximately 4400 feet northeast of the intersection of US Route 422 and Fox Road. The Portersville Pa., U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute topographic map contains the area described. A copy of the application is available for public inspection at the Lawrence County Conservation District, Lawrence County Office, 430 Court St, New Castle, PA 16101. Written comments, objections, or a request for an informal conference or public hearing may be submitted to the PA Department of Environmental Protection, Knox District Mining Office, White Memorial Building, PO Box 669, Knox, PA 16232-0669 within 30 days following the date of the last (4th) publication of this notice and must include the persons name, address, telephone number, and a brief statement as to the nature of the objection(s).
