The Bessemer Municipal Authority is requesting proposals for the labor and material required for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Control Building Roof Replacement Project located at 330 Smalls Ferry Road, Bessemer, PA 16112. The project will be performed under one contract and includes the removal of the existing loose laid ballasted E.P.D.M roof and insulation on the 74’ x 32’ Control Building Roof and the installation of R30 insulation and a fully adhered black 0.060 E.P.D.M roofing system with a 20-year manufacturer’s warranty.
All responsible parties regularly engaged in the business of this nature, interested in submitting a bid to the Bessemer Municipal Authority may contact the office of New Castle Engineers at 724.730.4674 to obtain an electronic copy of the plans and specifications for a non-refundable fee of $25.00.
Sealed proposals will be received until 12:00 pm on Thursday July 9, 2026, at the Bessemer Municipal Authority Office at 330 Smalls Ferry Road, Bessemer, PA 16112 and marked on the outside as follows:

Bids will be opened at the regular monthly meeting scheduled for Thursday July 9, 2026, at 5 pm at the Bessemer Municipal Authority Office at 330 Smalls Ferry Road, Bessemer, PA 16112
Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bidder surety bond in the amount of 10% of the bid price which sum shall be specifically set forth in the surety bond with a reference to the specific bidding document as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered, and its performance properly secured. A performance bond, labor and material man’s bond, and maintenance bond will be required for this project.
The Bessemer Municipal Authority reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to make such award as most advantageous to the Authority.
